Mike graduated in the top 10% of his class at OCU Law and attained some of the school’s highest honors. Mike works on our most important and challenging cases. Mike has experience that uniquely positions him to handle complex personal-injury and medical-malpractice cases. Mike worked in the healthcare industry for over a decade before graduating law school. He understands complicated medical records and terminology and communicates effectively with medical experts while handling complex medical-negligence and personal-injury cases.
During law school, Mike received awards for earning the highest grade in several classes including family law, corporations and unincorporated businesses. Like several other attorneys at Compton Law, Mike competed and succeeded in mock-trial competitions. Mike also sharpened his legal research and writing skills as a distinguished member of the Oklahoma City University Law Review. He interned at several high-profile law firms, including Compton Law, and with a Federal Magistrate Judge in the Western District of Oklahoma. Mike worked for an Oklahoma Supreme Court Justice during his final year of law school.
Mike serves as a key member of Compton Law’s civil, criminal and family-law trial team. His practice areas include person injury, medical malpractice, criminal defense, wrongful death, family law, probate and trust litigation, estate planning and business law.
Outside of work, Mike is focused on spending time with his wife and son. They attend LifeChurch, and his wife begins nursing school in 2018. Mike’s hobbies are running, hunting, fishing, reading and traveling.
